[ash-ling] Gift Cards work toward any purchase in our store — new books, comics, collectibles, bakery and bar orders, handmade goods, Makers Basement memberships, events, and services. No restrictions.
Store Credit is a separate program available when you sell or trade used books with us. Store credit can only be applied toward up to half the cost of used book purchases — it is not interchangeable with gift cards and cannot be used on new books, café items, or other products.
If you want to give someone the freedom to shop our entire store, a gift card is the right choice.

Common Questions
After your order is placed and payment is confirmed, we'll email your unique code to the address on your account within one business day. If you're buying it as a gift, simply forward the email or copy the code into a card.
Online gift card codes can be applied at checkout on our website. For in-store use, please bring your code to a team member at the register and we'll apply it to your purchase manually.
[ash-ling] gift cards do not expire. Use your balance whenever you're ready — all at once or a little at a time across multiple visits.
Yes — gift cards work on all products, including new books, used books, comics, bakery and bar items, and everything else we carry. This is different from Store Credit, which can only be used toward up to half the cost of used book purchases.
Any remaining balance stays on your code and can be used on future orders. You'll never lose unspent value.
Need a different amount — say, $30 or $150? Send us a message and we'll arrange it for you.
Gift card purchases are non-refundable but the value never expires, so there's never any rush to use them.
