Pull List & Subscriptions
Never miss an issue of your favorite series. We're building a pull list service so your comics are reserved and waiting every Wednesday — New Comic Book Day.
What Is a Pull List?
A pull list — also called a pull box, pull file, or subscription — is a reservation service offered by comic book shops. You give us a list of the ongoing series you collect, and we set aside your issues automatically when they arrive, before they hit the open shelves.
It's the best way to guarantee you never miss an issue of a series you love, even if it sells out quickly. Popular titles, hot first appearances, and variant covers can disappear fast on New Comic Book Day. Pull list subscribers get their copies held regardless.
Your pull list is also a mutual arrangement. When we order for our subscribers, we're ordering those copies specifically for you. That means picking up your books regularly keeps the system working fairly for everyone. Most shops ask subscribers to pick up within a month — we'll spell out our exact policy when we launch.
Subscribers also typically receive a discount on their pull list titles — our way of rewarding the loyalty that makes the service possible.
How Pull Lists Work
You tell us which ongoing series you want. Every time a new issue of that series is released, we pull a copy for you before the rest go on the shelf.
You can add or drop titles at any time — just give us enough notice before the distributor's order deadline (called the FOC, or Final Order Cutoff). Late changes may mean we can't adjust an order already placed.
When you come in to pick up, your books are ready and waiting — bagged, labeled, and set aside just for you.
How Our Service Will Work
What We're Building
The Pull List Agreement
A pull list is a friendly arrangement between you and us. When you subscribe to a title, we order that copy specifically for you. Unlike shelf stock, we can rarely return unsold subscriber copies to the distributor.
That means a little responsibility on both sides. We'll be transparent about what we need from subscribers to make this work for everyone:
- Pick up regularly We ask subscribers to collect their books at least once a month. Books held longer than 30 days may be subject to prepayment or release.
- Cancel before the deadline If you want to drop a title, let us know before the weekly FOC (Final Order Cutoff). Late cancellations may mean we've already ordered the next issue.
- Cancel your list if your situation changes Moving? Tight budget? Just reach out — we understand life happens. We'd rather adjust together than be left with unread books.
- Communicate when you'll be away Going on vacation or will miss a few weeks? Let us know. We'll hold your books and note the situation on your account.
- Our commitment to you Your books are pulled before shelf stock. If we run short on a popular title, subscribers are served first, always.
Join the Interest List
The subscription service isn't live yet — but it's coming. If you'd like to be among the first to set up a pull list when we launch, use our contact page to let us know you're interested.
Tell us what series you follow and we'll reach out the moment the service opens. In the meantime, come in on Wednesdays — new issues arrive every week and we're happy to set books aside informally while we build the full system.
