Our Game Clubs
Find Your Game Club

We're building our game club community and actively looking for hosts to lead new clubs. Below are our current clubs and ones we'd love to see form. If you see a gap — that's your invitation.

Active — All Welcome
Mahjong Club
The flagship [ash-ling] game club. American Mahjong every Thursday — beginners always welcome and always taught. Tiles, coffee, and three hours of the best kind of focus.
Seeking a Host
Mahjong Saturday
A second weekly Mahjong session for players who can't make Thursdays, or who simply want more tile time. Same warm format — we just need the right person to anchor it.
Seeking a Host
Strategy Game Club
Catan. Ticket to Ride. Wingspan. Splendor. For players who want something meatier than a party game but shorter than a weekend commitment. One featured game per session, rotated monthly.
Seeking a Host
Party Game Club
Codenames. Wavelength. Anomia. Flip 7. Telestrations. For the crowd that wants loud, fast, and hilarious — games you can teach in five minutes and talk about for years. All ages, all levels.
Seeking a Host
RPG & Adventure Club
Dungeons & Dragons. Pathfinder. One-shots and mini-campaigns for new and experienced players. A Dungeon Master who loves teaching beginners is worth their weight in gold — or experience points.
Seeking a Host
Card Game Club
Classic or New, card games are timeless. Bridge. Rummy. Hearts. Spades. Uno. You name it. Afternoons would be perfect.
Mahjong — Beginners Welcome
Never Played? That's the Best Time to Start.

Mahjong has a reputation for complexity — and like most reputations, it's somewhat earned and mostly exaggerated. American Mahjong can be learned in a single session. Within an hour you'll be drawing tiles, building sets, and calling out your first winning hand.

Every Thursday club at [ash-ling] includes at least one experienced player who is genuinely glad to teach. Bring yourself. We'll provide the tiles, the instruction, and the coffee.

How a Mahjong Club Works
1
Arrive & Find a Table
Walk in any Thursday between 6 and 7 PM. Grab a drink from the bar, find a seat at one of the mahjong tables, and introduce yourself.
2
Learn or Play
New players get a quick orientation from an experienced player. Seasoned players dive straight into games. Tables are mixed by skill level so everyone has a good time.
3
Tiles, Coffee & Conversation
The bar is open. The store is open. Play as many rounds as you like from 6 to 9 PM. The best part of mahjong is what happens between hands.
4
Come Back Next Week
Game clubs build on themselves. The more familiar the faces, the better the play. See you Thursday.

"The best game club host isn't the most skilled player in the room — they're the one who makes sure every person at the table is having a good time."

Hosting a game club doesn't require encyclopedic game knowledge or years of experience. It requires someone who shows up consistently, knows the rules of the featured game well enough to teach them, and genuinely enjoys bringing people together over a table.

Clubs must run at least twice a month to maintain active status and host benefits. Everything else — format, pacing, which games you feature, how you welcome newcomers — is yours to shape.
