In-Store Pickup

Store pickup is free, fast, and our favorite option — it means you get to visit us. Select "In-Store Pickup" at checkout and your order will be ready within 1–3 business days. You'll receive an email notification when your order is ready.

Please Note Pickup orders not collected within 14 days may be returned to stock. If you need to arrange a later pickup, please contact us at email@ashlingbooksellers.com or call 706-886-2665 and we'll hold your order.

Domestic Shipping

All orders are processed within 2–3 business days of being placed. Orders placed on weekends or public holidays will begin processing the next business day. During periods of high order volume, processing may take an additional 1–2 business days — we'll keep you updated.

Shipping charges are calculated at checkout based on the weight of your order and your delivery address. If you choose to have books shipped as they become available (for pre-orders or backordered items), total shipping charges may be higher than the initial checkout estimate.

USPS First Class / Priority
2–5 business days
Faster delivery with tracking included. Recommended for gifts, time-sensitive orders, or anything you need quickly. Priced by weight and distance at checkout.
Includes USPS tracking on all shipments.
Premium
UPS / FedEx Ground
3–7 business days
Available for larger orders or when requested. Includes full tracking and carrier insurance. Rates calculated at checkout.
Recommended for orders over $75 or multiple heavy items.
About Media Mail USPS Media Mail is the most economical shipping option for books but comes with important limitations. It is not insured and delivery times can vary widely — sometimes 2 weeks or more. If your order is a gift or time-sensitive, we strongly recommend selecting First Class or Priority Mail. Media Mail is also subject to USPS inspection, so packages may arrive opened.

Shipping charges are non-refundable except in cases where an order was shipped incorrectly due to our error. If your shipment arrives damaged, please see our Return & Refund Policy.

Free Shipping

We offer free standard shipping via USPS Media Mail on all domestic orders of $100 or more. Free shipping is applied automatically at checkout — no code needed.

Pre-Orders & Special Orders

We can order virtually any book currently in print — including titles we don't carry in stock. Special orders typically arrive within 3–7 business days for most titles.

For pre-orders of upcoming releases, your card will not be charged until the title ships. We'll notify you by email when your pre-order is ready to ship or available for pickup. If a pre-order is delayed by the publisher, we will keep you informed.

Tracking Your Order

Here's what happens after you place your order:

Order Confirmation
You'll receive an email immediately after placing your order confirming we've received it.
Processing (2–3 business days)
We prepare your order and confirm all items are available. You'll hear from us if anything is out of stock or backordered.
Shipping Confirmation & Tracking
Once your order ships, you'll receive an email with your tracking number (if applicable to your shipping method). You can also log into your account at any time to check your order status.
Delivery
Delivery times vary by shipping method. See the estimates above. If your package hasn't arrived within the estimated window, contact us and we'll help.

Gift Orders

Sending a book as a gift? Enter the recipient's address as the shipping address during checkout. You may add a gift message in the order notes field at checkout — we'll include it with the order.

We do not include printed receipts with gift shipments by default. If you'd like us to include or exclude a receipt, please note this in your order comments.

For a truly personal gift, consider a signed copy — many of our author events produce signed stock that we keep on hand. Call or email us to ask what signed copies we currently have available.
