Commission Rate

The consignor establishes retail price. In the event of a sale, the consignor receives 70% of the established retail price on handmade items and 60% on commercially produced items. Aisling Collective Inc. DBA [ash-ling] Booksellers retains the remainder as commission.

Price Change

If a consignor wishes to make changes to their price, they must state the changes in writing and have the change approved by [ash-ling] Booksellers before the new price takes effect.

Consignment Period

All items are consigned for a period of 90 days. Seasonal items are not held to the 90-day period and will be defined at the discretion of Aisling Collective Inc. DBA [ash-ling] Booksellers. The consignor is hereby notified that all property consigned is at the owner's risk. Shop personnel will exercise all due care; however, Aisling Collective Inc. DBA [ash-ling] Booksellers and its management will not be held responsible or liable for any loss or damage to consigned property.

Payment

Consignor payments for all sales and transactions of the previous month will be made by Venmo or PayPal on or before the 10th of each month. Monthly sales balances totaling less than $25.00 will be carried forward to the following month. The consignor must cash all checks within 90 days of the issue date or the check becomes void.

Sales Tax

Aisling Collective Inc. DBA [ash-ling] Booksellers will be charging sales tax on its items and will handle all the filing of such taxes. The consignor is not responsible for collecting or filing sales tax on items sold through the store.

Insurance

Aisling Collective Inc. DBA [ash-ling] Booksellers is covered by insurance for fire and criminal activities such as breaking and entering. However, as noted in Section 3, consigned property remains at the owner's risk and [ash-ling] does not assume general liability for consigned items beyond the stated insurance coverage.

Return Policy

Items are sold "as is" and there will not be a return policy on consigned goods. We do ask for your cooperation and understanding when handling any customer complaints regarding your items.

Inventory Ownership

The consignor owns their work until it is sold. The responsibility is upon the consignor to maintain their own inventory records. When payment is issued, an inventory list will be provided. It is the consignor's responsibility to check their list against ours and inform us of any discrepancies in a timely manner.

Copyrights & Patented Materials

Consignor will not consign items containing copyrighted or patented material of other individuals. Aisling Collective Inc. DBA [ash-ling] Booksellers and its management will not assume liability for any copyright or patent infringement by the consignor. No commercial items will be accepted from a consignor.

Pick Up & Delivery of Inventory

Consignment product delivery must be properly packaged for storage and formally received by store personnel. Pick up and delivery of items must be done during advertised store hours, preferably on weekdays, to alleviate congestion on busy weekends.

Displaying Inventory

Aisling Collective Inc. DBA [ash-ling] Booksellers retains the right to determine how consignor's product will be displayed, including quantities and selection. The store also retains the right to display and market consigned products through its retail marketing opportunities, including but not limited to the website, promotional events, advertising, and in-store displays.

Descriptions

All item description forms must be filled out completely prior to items being accepted for consignment. Incomplete descriptions may result in items not being accepted or displayed.

Underselling

The consignor agrees that he or she will not undersell or consign similar items for less than the retail price he or she has established at Aisling Collective Inc. DBA [ash-ling] Booksellers. This applies to all other retail channels including online marketplaces, craft markets, and other consignment locations.

Right to Refuse

Due to limited space, the number of items to be consigned is subject to the discretion of management. The store management reserves the right to refuse any item submitted for consignment. No obscene material will be accepted under any circumstances.

Tagging of Inventory

All items must be tagged and priced before being accepted. The tag must provide space for Aisling Collective Inc. DBA [ash-ling] Booksellers to place a barcoded or written SKU for inventory tracking purposes.

Special Orders

Special orders are available for the consignor to participate in and must go through the shop. The customer will prepay all special orders. Consignors will receive payment for the special order the month following delivery of the item. This section requires an opt-in decision. Do NOT initial if you are NOT opting in to special orders.

Promotional Sales

Aisling Collective Inc. DBA [ash-ling] Booksellers may from time to time offer promotional sales. All discounts will come from [ash-ling]'s 30% commission share. The consignor will always receive 70% of the amount agreed upon as the retail price for their item, regardless of any promotional discount offered by the store.

Termination

This agreement may be terminated by either party providing a 15 days written notice to the other party. Upon termination, all unsold consigned items must be collected by the consignor within the notice period or arrangements made with store management.

I agree to abide by the terms as stated above. My signature certifies that I have carefully read and understand all terms of this Artisan Consignment Agreement with Aisling Collective Inc. DBA [ash-ling] Booksellers as stated herein. I acknowledge that this constitutes a binding agreement between myself and [ash-ling] Booksellers effective upon submission.
